From Italy, with love. These decks are hand-signed and numbered in Italy by Giovanni. The process to produce these was extremely complex and long.
The story of Italia Lucente and Preziosa
In early 2023 I found Doliberg and sent them several decks to test edge printing: Eva, SINS, Tales – and finally, Italia Segreta and Radiosa. The idea was to create experimental Signature Editions for Patrons. There were plenty of unknowns, but I still went ahead with one of my classic impulsive choices. Shipping and import fees were high, so I spread costs over time while gradually producing gilding and boxes.
Italia was the last to be done. I wanted a true “Signature Edition”, which meant I had to physically go to the factory to sign every deck. After much procrastination, I finally did it in late 2024.
While the decks were being gilded in Bergamo, I drove to Jesolo to sign 1200 boxes at Boschiero’s HQ. It took several hours, but was manageable—less painful than signing 60 Delirium decks back in 2014. The boxes, before being signed…

The cards and boxes were later sent to Como, where Jocu assembled and shipped them back to the USA—after over a 2-years vacation in Italy.
Besides foil and paper, this is a very personal project—I signed every deck by hand.
It was expensive, slow, and exhausting. But I hope you’ll enjoy the result.
